PopQuizzical Daily! for March 24, 2012:

Part of what U.S. state was once called
“The Free Republic of Franklin”?
(Answer in tomorrow’s PopQuizzical Daily!)
Yesterday's PopQuizzical Daily! answer:
Thomas Alva Edison.
‘The Wizard of Menlo Park’ was a nickname given him
by a newspaper reporter.  And he certainly was a wizard –
Tommy had over 1,000 patents in the U.S. alone, not
to mention patents in Germany, France and the United
Kingdom.  One of his greatest inventions/discoveries?
The lightbulb.  So, the next time you start singing
“I’m off to see the wizard”, turn on a light.
