Fairies.
Those rings of mushrooms are called “fairy rings”.  It is said that it’s a place where fairies danced, and if you sit in the middle on a full moon and make a wish – IT WILL COME TRUE. 
I sat in a fairy ring once and wished for a pizza – AND IT CAME TRUE.
Sure, I had to call for it and then pick it up – BUT IT CAME TRUE.
