Ok, so it’s really spelled frack, but that’s how it was originally spelled in the 1970s Battlestar Galactica.  In the natural gas industry, fracking is the controversial process of using pressurized liquids injected beneath the ground to extract petroleum and natural gas.  I can only presume that it’s controversial because they misspell the word ‘frak’.  Those frakkin’ fraks.
