That Anders Celsius, what a card.  For eight years (from 1741-1749) zero degrees Celsius was the boiling point of water and 100 degrees Celsius was the freezing point.  I’m guessing that at some point one of his drinking buddies pointed out that most of us count up, not down.  Well, unless you work for NASA, then countdowns are awesome.
