There is less gravity on Mars than on Earth.
Less gravity – in fact the gravity on Mars is about 1/3 the gravity of Earth.  That means if you can jump 3 feet straight up on earth, you’ll be able to jump 9 feet on Mars.  I think we all knows what that means: fat guy Martian basketball leagues! (And yes, I just trademarked FGMBL.  Suck on that.)
