Ferdinand Marcos.

Ferdinand Marcos and his wife, Imelda, were driven into exile from the Philippines in 1986. They left behind a stagering amount of personal effects behind, including over 1,200 pairs of Imelda’s shoes.  That’s not the punchline, that’s the truth.  The punchline is that those shoes were secretly worn more so by Ferdinand.  That’s totally what the ABBA song “Fernando” is about.  I’ll wait while you go listen. (Spoiler alert: I may not be correct about “Fernando”.)
