Freshwater fish and saltwater fish have something in common: they both need salt to live.  But they get it differently: saltwater fish drink saltwater in order to get less salt and more water.  Freshwater fish get their water through osmosis, or the process of absorption through the skin or cell membrane.  (Not how you study for your science tests, dodo.)

Now if you have a drunken friend who you thinks drinks like a fish, pause for a moment and consider that when you’re not watching him he could be sneaking into the bathroom and laying in a tub of scotch.

How I marinate all my chickens: a tub of scotch. They love it.
