Franklin Delano Roosevelt, aka FDR.

FDR broadcasted from inside the white house, but he wasn’t really next to a fireplace.  The term “Fireside Chat” was coined by journalist Robert Trout.  Roosevelt actually broadcasted from inside his crime-fighting time machine he nicknamed “Eleanor”.  I fully expect that last part to be on Wikipedia in 15 minutes.  Go get ’em, internet.
