Nintendo Campus Challenge.

In 1991 and 1992, Nintendo went around to college campuses promoting the SNES with a game called Nintendo Campus Challenge.  It was a minigame cartridge with a Super Mario level, a Pin*Bot level, and a Dr. Mario level.  After the tour/competition was finished, Nintendo destroyed all the cartidges except one, which was found aand purchased at a garage sale.  It has been sold on eBay a couple of times, the most recent time in 2009 for $20,100.  That’s a lot of gold coins, even for Mario.

For the price of one cartridge, I could have a thrilling vacation with Mario.
