Thomas Jefferson and John Adams.

How very polite of both of them to pass on the exact same day – July 4th, 1826 – within 5 hours of each other. Adams reported last words were “Thomas Jefferson still survives”. That was in spirit and memory only however, since Jefferson died earlier that same day.

Who on the cover of this book dies? Spoiler alert: everyone. Even the cat.
