The United States.

In 1914, the sentiment was that the conflict in Europe wasn’t the United States to be involved in – but we still supplied the Allied forces supplies.  And in April of 1917 we were an official participant in the war.  And we didn’t even get the “We Started a War” commemorative t-shirts.  That’s why nowadays we get in on the ground floor of wars: t-shirts.  

Who dey, indeed.
