Of course it’s aluminum.  Every grocery store I can think of has a whole row of aluminum cans wiht fizzy beverages in it.  Alumen, which is Latin for “bitter salt”, probably derived it’s name from some crazy Roman chewing raw aluminum.  It’s not the kind of popcorn topping I would use, but hey, I live near the big city now.

One of the original uses for aluminum: annoying your neighbors.
