There’s no business like shoe business…well, ok – there is the singing touching songs of despair while lookin’ at your Keds.  And those bands were Shoegazers.  Take for example Lush, My Bloody Valentine, Bauhaus, or Hüsker Dü – they really liked to stare at the floor and sing.  I would too if that’s where my lyrics were taped.  Wouldn’t you be surprised to know that’s where it all started?

None of the shoegazers I know wore kicks like these. Ok, maybe that guy from The Cure.
