Armistice Day.

November 11, 1918, marked the signing of the treaty that ended the Great War, or World War I.  The following year, President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed that November 11th would be the holiday known as Armistice Day.  The holiday was renamed by Congress to Veteran’s Day in 1954.

In remembrance.
